About the Department of Physics
The Department was established in 1999 with the introduction of BSc Physics. The Department offers Physics as core subject, Electronics and Mathematics as complementary subjects. The teaching- learning process of the Department taps the potential of ICT in delivering knowledge to students. The Department offers extension programmes like seminars invited talks, workshops, open house etc. To nearby Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools in rural areas.
The department publishes a biannual newsletter called 'Physics News Letter’ with the active participation of students. Various International /National Science related days are celebrated every year in the department.
